The clutch allows smooth gear changes in manual transmissions. It engages and disengages the engine from the gearbox. It is located in the flywheel housing between the engine and gearbox, and the clutch assembly is fixed on the rear plane of the flywheel with screws.
The output shaft of the clutch is the input shaft of the gearbox. During car driving, the clutch temporarily disengages and gradually engages the engine and gearbox according to instructions issued by the computer, in order to cut off or transmit the power input from the engine to the gearbox. Common faults: Large clearance between the friction plates leads to uneven shifting, and the external environment affects the cleanliness of the clutch, resulting in abnormal operation. During maintenance, check the clearance and wear.
